New laws have come into effect in Ontario concerning privacy. The purpose of this legislation is to give individuals control over how their personal information is handled in the private sector. We have formulated a Privacy Policy for our office, to advise you of the requirements and intent for the collection, use, and disclosure of any personal information, in strict accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act. We have designated a Privacy officer to ensure compliance with the legislation, and with these 10 Privacy Principles:

Accountability: All members of our staff are responsible for maintaining and protecting all Personal Information under their control.

Identifying Purposes: At the time your information is collected, we will identify the purposes for which it is being collected.

Consent: We will only collect your Personal Information, with your knowledge and expressed consent, except where otherwise required or permitted by law.

Limiting Collection: We will limit collection of your personal information to only those details that are necessary for the purposes identified. Also, please be advised that our website does not collect any information from your Internet browser whatsoever. It does not use "cookies" to gather any data. Your privacy has our utmost respect.

Limiting Use, Disclosure and Retention: Your information may only be used, or disclosed, for the purpose for which it was collected, unless you have otherwise consented, or it is required or permitted by law. This includes communicating with insurance companies, and dental specialists. For these purposes, please sign the consent form at our office. We will only retain your personal information for the period of time required to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected.
